Escotilla / Hatchway, Two: Not sure what this and the other hatchway are. They are at Fort Mott in Pennsville, NJ. It is a very old fort that is now a State Park. I believe these "windows" are to pass supplies into the fortification if and when they were in lockdown or in an exercise drill. There are no cannons remaining in the fort but the place used to house some of the biggest guns in the East Coast of the U.S.
