what makes it “so ugly”?

Great question! I don’t really know. I guess is the anachronistic look of the photograph. The hairdo of the couple. The pose… I can’t put my finger on “what” though. It certainly isn’t because of ethnicity. If you have read my other blogs you’d notice I couldn’t be any more oriental oriented if I wanted to.
